About Naples Day

Naples Day is a daily hub for Naples, Florida. The idea is simple: open one page, see what's happening in town today, and move on with your morning. No feeds to scroll, no algorithmic timeline, no accounts, no ads chasing you across the internet. Just the news, weather, tides, events, happy hours, and local picks that matter for this town, this day.

What we cover

• Top stories — headlines from every Naples-area newsroom (WINK, Naples Daily News, Gulfshore Business, Florida Weekly, Naples Press, Gulf Coast News Now), editorially filtered and deduplicated.
• Events— what's happening today, this weekend, and the major things coming up, from the Events Naples database.
• Weather, tides, and beach conditions — current temperature, UV, sunset, rip current risk, red tide, and water temperature, pulled from NOAA, NWS, FWC, and OpenWeather.
• Happy hours — searchable by day, area, and deal type. Curated and refreshed regularly.
• Local faces— hand-picked spotlights on up-and-coming Naples professionals the glossy magazines haven't gotten to yet.
• On the market — weekly picks of Naples listings worth talking about.
• New restaurants, things to do, and places to explore — curated and updated when there's something worth adding.
• Now playing at Alamo Drafthouse (Mercato) — current showtimes via the Alamo Drafthouse public schedule.

How we curate

Naples Day is counter-curation. The algorithm-driven feeds you already use optimize for what's loud, controversial, or trending nationally. We optimize for what's locally relevant, time-sensitive, and actually useful to someone living in or visiting Naples today.

For news headlines, we pull from the local outlets listed above, deduplicate stories covered by multiple sources, and rank them by newsworthiness to Naples residents (government decisions, infrastructure, notable incidents, business openings/closings, notable deaths). Crime, legal, and accident stories are always published verbatim from the source — we do not editorially rewrite safety-critical content.

For editorial sections (local faces, on the market, new restaurants, things to do), each entry is manually selected. We pass on spots that are already getting wall-to-wall coverage elsewhere, and we favor under-the-radar picks that are new, rare, or notable for a specific reason.

How we handle sources

Naples Day is a news aggregator. We link to source articles published by their respective outlets — we do not host or republish full stories. All headlines, articles, and excerpts remain the property of their respective publishers. Every headline on this site links out to the original source, and we credit the publisher on every card.

How we make money

Right now, we don't. Naples Day is not ad-supported and we do not sell user data. If that changes, we'll say so clearly on this page.

Naples Day is a Naples Resident LLC property. We also run Events Naples (the events database that powers this site) and Visit Naples (the Naples tourism guide).
